The candidates in Colorado’s marquee U.S. Senate race are outlining competing visions ahead of the Nov. 3 election, and both have contradictions in their records.

U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, a Republican from Yuma, is touting his accomplishments, aligning himself with President Donald Trump, while Democrat John Hickenlooper, the former Colorado governor and Denver mayor, is offering a moderate approach much like the party’s presidential nominee, Joe Biden.
